How to Say “The most” in Japanese

いちばん」 “the most” means the highest degree or ranking of something.

Examples:
1. このみせの らーめんが “いちばん” おいしい
(kono mise no ramen ga “ichiban” oishii)
→”This restaurant’s ramen is the most delicious.”

2. ふじさんは にほんで “いちばん” たかいやま
(Fujisan wa nihon de “ichiban” takai yama)
→ Mt. Fuji is the highest mountain in Japan.

3. “いちばん” すきな えいがは なんですか?
(“ichiban” sukina eiga wa nandesuka?)
→ What is your favorite movie? (lit. “the most liked movie”)
