Grammar: 〜そう
We use 〜そう to express how something appears based on what we can see or feel.
How to use:
🔷 い-adjective:
❌ Drop the 「い」 → ✔️ Add そう
➡️ たのしい → たのしそう
🗯️ それは楽しそうです。
= That looks like fun!
🔷 な-adjective:
✔️ Just add そう
➡️ げんき(元気) → 元気そう
🗯️ 彼は元気そうです。
= He looks well / He seems energetic!
❗ Irregular one to remember:
🔸 いい (good) → よさそう
🗯️ このケーキ、よさそう! (This cake looks good!)
💬 Try this:
📚 この本はおもしろそう!
🍩 ドーナツがおいしそう!
