This is a sentence pattern expressing the imperative form. This sentence pattern is often used in cases where parents talk to their children, teachers talk to students, etc.,

For example:
1. 分からなかったら先生に聞きなさい!
Wakarana kattara sensei ni kiki nasai!
If you don’t understand ask your teacher!

2. うるさい。すこし静かにしなさい。
Urusai. Sukoshi shizukani shi nasai.
Too noisy. Be quiet for a bit

3. 明日、学校に行くから、早く寝なさい!
Ashita, gakkou ni iku kara, hayaku ne nasai!
You have to go to school tomorrow so go to bed early!

4. 9時に私に電話しなさい。
Kuji ni watashi ni denwa shi nasai.
Call me at 9 o’clock

5. 明日も学校があるんだから、早く寝なさい。
Ashita mo gakkō ga aru ndakara, hayaku ne nasai.
Go to bed early, you still have school tomorrow

6. 次の文を読んで、記号で答えなさい。
Tsugi no bun o yonde, kigou de kotae nasai.
