Meaning: After having ~

How to use:
Nの + あとで, ~
Vた + あとで, ~

Explain:
Used to describe an event, an action that takes place after another action

For example:
1. この本は見たあとで、私に貸してください。
Kono hon wa mita ato de, watashi ni kashite kudasai.
After you finish reading this book, please lend it to me

2. 仕事が終わったあとで、カラオケにいきませんか?
Shigoto ga owatta ato de, karaoke ni ikimasen ka?
Do you want to go to karaoke after work?

3. 仕事のあとで、一杯やりませんか。
Shigoto no ato de, ippai yarimasen ka.
When I’m done, we will have a drink, okay?

4. 授業のあとで、先生に会います。
Jugyō no ato de, sensei ni aimasu.
After class I will meet the teacher.

Attention: Similar to 「Vてから」 but this sentence pattern does not show continuity like the pattern Vてから.
