How to use the:

とはいえ + sentence

Example sentences:

1. とはいえ、一連の疑わしい状況が存在します。
towaie, ichiren no utagawashii joukyou ga sonzai shimasu.
But we do have a set of suspicious circumstances here.

2. とはいえ、指示には従わなくてはならない。
towaie, shiji niwa shitagawanakute wa naranai.
Even so, I have my orders.

3. わたしも、低俗で幼稚なレベルだったとはいえ、読書は好きだった。
watashi mo, teizoku de youchi na reberu datta towaie, dokusho wa suki datta.
I too liked reading, though of a frivolous and childish kind.
