How to use: Noun + によって

For example:
1. 日本は津波によって大きな彼我を受けました
nihon wa tsunami ni yotte ōkina higa o ukemashita
Japan was hit hard by the tsunami

2. 私の不注意な発言によって、彼を傷つけてしまった
watashi no fuchūina hatsugen ni yotte, kare o kizutsukete shimatta
Due to my careless speech, I hurt him

3. その村の家の多くは洪水によって押し流された。
sono mura no ie no ōku wa kōzui ni yotte oshinagasa reta.
Most of the houses in this village were swept away by the flood

4. この問題は話し合いによって解決できると思います。
kono mondai wa hanashiai ni yotte kaiketsu dekiru to omoimasu.
I think we can solve this problem by working together.
